Budds' Mazda Takes The Mystery Out Of Vehicle Maintenance With Its' Ladies Night Car Care Clinic!

Budds' Mazda in Oakville offered its' female clients a free hands-on car care clinic designed specifically for women.  The recent Ladies Night Car Care Clinic was organized so female Mazda owners could learn more about how their own vehicle operates and become comfortable tackling regular maintenance tasks on their own.

It was an intimate gathering of women, where new and veteran owners alike learned key information about servicing their Mazda. The camaraderie of an all female class made it a comfortable and fun environment.

Their instructor, Kelly Williams, from Kelly's Garage, once a high school teacher, now makes her living working in the automotive industry. Kelly is a driving coach, race car driver and a successful facilitator for new vehicle launches. She was also a Judge on Canada's Worst Driver and the host of Global's "Mechanical Chicks". Kelly is an experienced instructor, having designed and instructed over 400 car clinics across the country.

One of the key components of Kellys' clinic is that its hands-on!  Participants don’t just watch and listen, instead they are encouraged to perform several tasks on their very own car. Some of the hands-on tasks included; testing tire pressure, accessing oil levels and monitoring key vehicle fluid levels.

Most women felt their car knowledge was poor prior to attending the clinic. After the clinic ended, all participants polled answered 'yes' to being more comfortable about how their car operates and taking it in for repairs. The best part for the ladies was that this was a hands-on clinic where they got to work on their own car.

The fun evening included some prizes as well, with 3 winners going home with emergency kits and a $25 gas card.
