Andrea Jerez Venegas, selected as Top Informatics Engineer of the Year for 2016 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)!

Andrea Jerez Venegas, Manager for Evalueserve was selected as Top Informatics Engineer of the Year for 2016-2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). 

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over 7 years of professional experience in a male dominated industry, Andrea Jerez Venegas has certainly proved herself as an accomplished professional and inspiration for all women.   As a dynamic, results-driven leader, Andrea has been successful climbing the ranks with each company she has worked for.  As the reporting Manager of Evalueserve her tasks are to help in the development of the career of each analyst reporting to her, looking to reach the needs of the project and company as well as manage conflicts between the members of the team.  She graduated as Informatics Engineer 5 years ago, and Andrea’s key responsibilities are in Project Management; Engineering; Program Development; Troubleshooting; and Supervising the daily basis tasks and clear out any issues that arise.  Aside from her technical skills, Andrea has had to use her soft skills making her one of the managers with the lowest attrition cases within her group.

Andrea has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. She was recently inducted as a Lifetime member with the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals and named “Outstanding Professional of the Year.”  In 2016 she was also nominated and selected as “Top Informatics Engineer of the Year” by the International Association of Top Professionals. She received her Master's of Informatics Engineering from the University Of Santiago, Chile in 2011.

Looking back, Andrea attributes her success to her positive attitude, perseverance and letting nothing stand in her way when pursuing her goals.   When not working, Andrea enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with her friends.  For the future, Andrea will continue to work hard, and hopes to be a professional role model to women around the world.
