American Social Media Start up Polyminds Seeks to Bring Together Students across The World

Seattle, WA, USA - A US based social media platform has been launched to bring together students from different parts of the world. The social media platform called PolyMinds is exclusively dedicated to education, learning and the students. Users who register on the platform can learn about any academic field that they are interested in.

The social media platform contains a number of pages that can allow the user to carry out different activities while on the platform. The News Feed feature appears at the top of the platform and under this feature users can post comical insights on their field of interest. Users can also ask questions if they get stuck with their assignment on the Homework Q & A section. Apart from learning, the users can be rewarded by engaging their minds on the platform with PolyTokens.  These PolyTokens can be redeemed for the Industry Grade Certifications and Degree Programs on PolyLearn which is the E-learning platform of the company. Users can also convert the points to cash and withdraw to their PayPal accounts.

Speaking about the first ever education social media platform, Dominic Thomas Pagan, the CTO, Co-Founder said,

The launch of the education platform comes at a time when more than 44 million Americans are still struggling to repay back their student loans. Currently, student loan debt is one of the biggest consumer debt categories in US totaling up to more than $1.5 trillion. Part of the main reason for the soaring of student debt is the increase of college costs. In reference to this, Dominic Thomas Pagan, the co-founder of the platform has emphasized the need to rethink about alternatives to college education in America. 

“The student debt market is currently at $1.6 Trillion in the US alone. No matter how you look at it, that is not okay and it needs to change.” he said.

Besides offering the users an opportunity to learn and earn, PolyMinds also connects students to jobs and internships in different fields. Users will first need to specify whether they need a full time, part time job opportunity, their area of interest and the distance to see the available jobs.
