Alice Aspen March selected as Top Radio Show Host of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Alice Aspen March, Author, Speaker and Radio Show Host of the Attention Factor, “Why our Attention Matters” was recently selected as Top Radio Show Host of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities. With over 40 years of professional experience, Alice has certainly proven herself an accomplished professional and expert in many fields. She is a dynamic results-driven leader who has demonstrated success in every position she has ever held. Prior to serving in her current position as Global Radio Show Host of “Why our Attention Matters” and as President & Founder of The Attention Factor, Alice was an Executive Director of the Los Angeles Non-Profit Organization, FACT (Focusing Awareness on Children & TV). She was chosen to participate in the White House Conference on the Family. She was interviewed by EMMY Magazine for a feature on Children’s Programming and in Bottom Line Personal for a cover story on Complaining.

Moreover, Alice created and co-produced the Emmy Award-nominated film in 1981, “Latch-Key Kids” (with Christopher Reeve) establishing herself as a pioneer in publicizing the need for adequate child-care in the United States. 

Her Radio Show entitled WHY OUR ATTENTION MATTERS informs listeners about why the attention we get and give to others is vital and how it impacts our behavior and our feelings. People will forever recall the kind of attention that they got from their teachers, parents, grandparents, doctors, siblings and, really, everyone in their lives, AND  specifically how it felt: good or bad.

Aside from her successful career, Alice is a sought-after speaker who has held workshops and hosted seminars for business groups, medical employee groups, family therapy groups and also classes at high schools and universities. She has spoken around the world:  in New Zealand, Mexico, Greece, Canada, Belgium and throughout the United States. Alice served on the Board of Directors for the International Institute of Los Angeles, Center for the Improvement for Child Caring and KCET-28 Public Broadcasting in Southern California.

Furthermore, Alice has written several books including, “Attention: Secrets for Making it in College and Beyond” and “ATTENTION: It’s the Problem- It’s the Solution “ Workbook.

Both books are available on Amazon.com. She has been a prominent contributor to “The American Chronicle on- line with 30 articles, one entitled. “Heath Ledger Didn’t Have to Die” received 14,000 hits.

Her guidance and knowledge have awarded her interviews on TV Programs and guest speaking appearances on Radio Shows.

In addition to these merits, Alice was twice appointed by the California State Senate to State Commissions: the future funding of PBS, and the National Conference on the Family. She created panels of community leaders for network-owned KABC, KCBS and KNBC, which 

determined the best ways to serve children and youth audiences. Alice was appointed to and served for 10 years on the Federally mandated (CAB) Community Advisory Board at KCET. She also served as a Programming Consultant for PBS’s KCET and KHJ networks. 

Throughout her illustrious career, Alice has received awards, accolades and has remained an active member of her community for many years. The International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) will be honoring Alice for her award this December at its Annual Awards Gala being held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. For 2020 she is being considered for a feature article in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and also for the Empowered Woman of the Year Award. Besides these recognitions, Alice received an International Year of the Child Award.

Alice successfully lobbied to keep Mr. FRED ROGERS and His Neighborhood on PBS. She commissioned a satirical play, “Boxed-In” for presentations through the Los Angeles County School System, showing Television’s impact on children socially, physically and emotionally Alice coordinated a grant from the California Council for Humanities in Public Policy for a two-day community forum on “Living with Television.” She coordinated roundtable discussions, while providing “Television Awareness Training Workshops” all throughout Los Angeles, She “Boxed-In”, for presentations through the Los Angeles County School System, showing Television’s impact on family emotions, interactions and life. Her work has been featured and praised in the Congressional Record as early as 1980 and in Emmy Magazine
