DALLAS, TX - 8/28/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- Smart home and security expert smanos is pleased to announce that it will be bringing its Red Dot and Computex d&i Gold Design award-winning K1 SmartHome DIY Kit, as well as its highly acclaimed WiFi and cellular home alarm portfolio to IFA at Messe Berlin from 4-9 September 2015.
The complete smanos smart home portfolio will be on display at Stand 214 in Hall 15.1 (iZone) and Stand 115 in Hall 17 (German distributor ComLine). The range embodies the design tenants of minimalistic elegance, self-installation and self-monitoring. smanos solutions cater to today’s mobile-driven lifestyles and ever-evolving residential security and automation needs from WiFi, cellular, app-enabled alarm and video systems to remote energy and security management.
The K1 is the ultimate home automation and security center, and is smanos’ latest wireless smart home gateway, combining butler- and guard-like functions into a stack of aesthetically pleasing round discs. The discs come with aluminum frames and texturized plastic surfaces, particularly designed for everyday wear and tear.
The smanos K1 connects to up to 50 wireless accessories with ease, and its intuitive operation both on-site and on the smartphone is a breeze. Wireless accessories include locks, HD cameras, alarm detectors/sirens and environmental sensors. Users -- young or old -- can rely on their basic senses to see, hear or touch to check if K1-enabled things at home are working properly.

Another highlight is the IP6 HD WiFi home security camera, which complements any smanos alarm platform and has a wide, 110-degree field of view and a state-of-the-art, SONY-enhanced, low-light vision that cannot be found elsewhere in the residential DIY security sector. The camera delivers uncannily smooth, HD-quality video at 720p and also provides two-way voice communication.
