CALGARY - 04/19/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Since 2010, TrainTalk.TV has quietly served up news, events and stories to those who have an interest in 'All Things Railroad'. Now, the show that started out as a video podcast is searching for a new identity on the web, and hoping the fans that have viewed the news/documentary style show will lend an hand in the process.

Mainline trains, Historical (Steam) trains and model trains are shown from countries all over the world in a news / documentary format. Each show is a mixed of TrainTalk filmed articles and viewer submitted content and each article strives to show something special and not too 'mainstream'.

Show creator and host Neil Enock explains, "TrainTalk started out as just the video podcast, then we added an active news feed, then event listings, then a website and app delivery. We were listed on the front page of iTunes twice in the second year and passed 1 million video views shortly after we stopped making new podcasts in 2012. Even though there have been no new epsiodes since 2012, the viewership continues to grow, passing 1.5 million by January of this this year."

Although the news and events listings, the website and the Facebook page have been maintained, fans have been asking when the video segments could get going again, so Neil is asking them to get behind the web-based reboot and vote the video show back into life on Telus Storyhive.

Telus storyhive is a local initiatve to create web-based series. TrainTalk.TV is in the running for one of 15 grants for a new web series pilot.  The only way to get the grant is to get votes through social media at http://www.storyhive.com/project/show/id/1254. As an added bonus, the winning pilots will then compete for a larger grant that will make a season of the show possible.

"I'm hoping that those folks who have enjoyed the show and the new people that continue to watch our older epsiodes would like to see something more current.  Voting for TrainTalk.TV is free and only until April 15th.  People from anywhere in the world can vote, once per day until the 25th. Help TrainTalk.TV get back on the rails!"

Voting is free and done here: http://www.storyhive.com/project/show/id/1254. To see TrainTalk.TV on the web: http://www.traintalk.tv, or search TrainTalkTV on Facebook.
