SAN FRANCISCO Bay Area will boast with the dynamism and sensuality of a young troupe arriving to the HERBST THEATER for a weekend performing the show awarded as THE BEST MUSICAL SHOW of THE YEAR by the Latin Association of Critics of Entertainment (ACE) in New York.  TANGO LOVERS has been the only Tango Show being honored with such award in the 48 years of existence of Latin ACE.

The award winning Uruguayan singer and producer  Alfredo Lerida and the World Tango Dance Champion, the  Argentinean young tango dance superstar, Marcos Ayala with a cast of world class dancers and musicians present  with a fresh air the spirit of the city of Buenos Aires  bringing an avant-garde vision and a perfect mixture of the classical and contemporary.

A BIT OF TANGO HISTORY

Argentina and Uruguay have been exporting their talent to the world from the early 1900’s making tango universally known in all continents.  Prominent names in the tango arena such as Villoldo, Francisco Canaro, Carlos Gardel, Gerardo Matos and Astor Piazzola are widely known around the globe.
