WINCHESTER, VA - 10/05/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

A free dessert social is being held at Victory Church, Winchester, to help tackle the growing problem of addiction. Addiction is one of the most heartbreaking problems in today’s society. It comes in many forms, and affects not only its sufferers, but also their families, friends and everyone close to them. It can break up marriages and tear families apart, leaving all who are touched by it feeling bereft of all hope.

Hope is the key to understanding and, step by step, combating addiction. If a sufferer feels they are not alone and have a brighter future to look forward to, they have a reason to make changes. Hope is what those at Victory Church Teen Challenge want to offer, which is why they have teamed up with well-known author, broadcaster and speaker Ruth Graham for an “Evening of Fun and Friendship”.

Finding Hope Through Faith

The Freedom From Addiction Dessert Social with Ruth Graham is taking place at Victory Church, Winchester, on Thursday, November 10. Ruth, who is known for her candid and moving public speaking, will be sharing stories of the ways in which her religious faith has shaped her life and helped her through some of her biggest challenges including divorce, her teenage daughter’s pregnancies, and going back to school at age 40.
