Sadistic Clown Seeks Revenge in Nick Lee’s “Dark Circus: The Astonishing Return”

The new novel, Dark Circus: The Astonishing Return takes you to the small town of Spoonersville, where an odd teenage trio has returned to a normal life after enduring the horrors of a twisted theme park known as the Dark Circus. Three years before, Kyle, Daniel, and Christy-Anne used their own gifts of magic, freakiness, and the ability to control animals to survive the park and defeat the demented circus clown, Charlie. The trio allied with the inhuman misfits that inhabited the park and were able to escape back to their homes.

During those three years of quiet bliss, Charlie plans his revenge in the spirit world. Through the help of other sinister magic, the clown makes an astounding return to exact revenge on all of Spoonersville on the night of the senior Halloween Carnival. Now Daniel, Kyle, and Christy-Anne attempt to regain their former power from the Dark Circus to destroy him. However, this time they must also face three newcomers to their town who also demonstrate the powers given to them by the Dark Circus.

Author Brittany Nicole Lee, who writes under the pen name “Nick Lee,” began writing when she was five years old. She grew up in Springfield, VA and has attended various colleges, including Northern Virginia Community College in Annadale, Va. She is a student of history and has been inspired by her favorite authors, some of which include Dickens, Austin, E.B. White, Maya Angelo, and Poe. Her passions include visiting museums and historical sites, watching Tim Burton movies, and vampire fiction.
