Filmmaker predicts State of America after Trump’s Election in “BILL2/29”

Task Media Films is proud to announce the screening of “BILL 2/29”, an Indie Short Film screens at the Arclight Theater in Culver City, December 7th , 2016 at 5 PM. and the Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills, December 10th, 2016 at      1 PM. The drama stars Stephen Paul-Astor, Maggie McCollester, Michel Euliss and directed by Maurice Simmons. 

BILL 2/29 is the story of America after a new law is passed and signed by then President Trump mandating that Black and White people separate and move to different states. It comes after years of Stand Your Ground and Black Lives Matter. Black and White citizens had to face an ugly truth:  Integration failed in the United States of America.  BILL 2/29 follows the lives of two Austin neighbors, as they wrestle with the implications of total separation.

Television actors, Stephen Paul-Astor and Maggie McCollester round out a solid cast. “BILL 2/29 is a thought provoking film with prophetic realism about America. Maurice Simmons, Documentary Cinematographer and former Army Journalist, directs this 24 minute honest depiction of the many complication facing race in its purest form.  This film has planned showings throughout Los Angeles and Southern California before nation-wide screenings.
