PHAT TUNE RECORDING ARTIST LACONDA DAVIES ON OFFICIAL BALLOT FOR GRAMMYS 2017 IN R&B

LaConda Davies is earning recognition for her skills at the 59^th Annual Grammy Awards (2017), where The Recording Academy has placed the singer-songwriter on the Official Ballot in three categories:

• Best R&B Performance (Same Me)
• Best R&B Song (Same Me)
• Best Traditional R&B Performance (I’m Ready)
• Best Song Written for Visual Media (Going to Jail Tonight, featured in Nobody’s Perfect, A Derrick Simmons Film)

“This is the first year I have submitted my music to the Grammys, and to have three songs chosen is absolutely crazy, exciting and amazing,” said LaConda Davies. “I wrote and produced I’m Ready and Going to Jail tonight, and wrote Same Me. Seeing my name on the official ballot is simply amazing—after years of broken promises, being ignored and having to battle with my own feelings of wanting to give up, this is an incredible feeling of validation. All of the songs on the ballot were written and sung by the talented performer, and this honor marks a new stage in her rapidly-rising career.
