Partners Acquires Civil Engineering & Surveying Firm

A little more than 18 months after opening its Akron, Ohio office, Partners Environmental Consulting, Inc. (Partners) of Solon, Ohio has acquired Cooper & Associates (Cooper), one of the oldest and most respected engineering and surveying companies in Northeast Ohio.

"We are proud to call Cooper a Partners Company," says Dan Brown, founder and President of Partners. "Bryan Ashman and Jerry Geib have maintained the long tradition of excellence starting in 1944, and we are so fortunate to have their team available to us now."

With this acquisition, Partners will be able to service its clients on a broader basis. John Crawford, Vice President, Due Diligence & Land Development Services at Partners explains, "This acquisition enables us to significantly expand our existing engineering and surveying capabilities, while providing unparalleled quality and service to our clients."

Mr. Ashman adds, "At Cooper, we offer complete surveying and civil engineering services and we are excited to bring these capabilities to Partners."

Cooper's areas of expertise include residential, commercial and industrial land development services for both private and public entities, such as, schools, churches, recreational facilities, municipalities and private land developers. The available services include a full menu of site/civil engineering and land surveying services, including residential subdivisions, roadway and water/sewer line upgrades, ALTA Surveys, FEMA Elevation Certificates (LOMRs and LOMAs) and commercial and industrial construction layout.

"It's really a perfect fit," adds Brown. "It's not often you can add over 70 years of experience to your company overnight. But with this acquisition, we were able to do just that."

Along with its corporate office in Solon and branch office in Akron, Partners will maintain Cooper's presence in Canton, Ohio.
