Nimble Collective CSU Animation Class Encouraging Applications by May 15 for Portfolio Review, Win Scholarship Dollars for Program

Nimble Collective announced today it is partnering with the California State University’s Summer Arts Program in both the scholarship application process and the mentoring of selected students. Scholarships, ranging from $100 to $2000, will be awarded to the top five submissions for use toward the CSU Summer Arts class. CSU Summer Arts students must apply by May 15 to be considered for the Nimble Collective CSU Summer Arts scholarship. If accepted into the program, they will be guided by Nimble’s leaders, the industry professionals who have brought the world such films as How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, Lord of the Rings, Toy Story, and more.

It is recommended that students have at least two years’ experience in Maya computer animation and modeling software. Students will work on an animated group film including all key aspects of production including storyboard creation, modeling, animating characters, lighting shots and more.
