Matrix Analytics Receives Two Pilot Host Offers and Takes Home $50,000 in Prize Money at the 2016 Prime Health Challenge

The Prime Health Challenge is a 3-month program of mentorship and competition for digital health companies. On October 19^th, six companies presented their solutions to a panel of judges and a variety of host institutions.  After each company’s pitch, host institutions choose to bid on the digital technology. LungDirect, software designed to bridge the gap between pulmonary nodule CT detection and diagnosis of lung cancer, will pilot innovative technology at National Jewish Health and SCL Health in Denver, CO.  The pilot will determine if registering incidentally found nodules to LungDirect results in increased timeliness of lung cancer treatment, survival from lung cancer, better resource utilization, adherence to recommended surveillance, and FTE time improvement.

LungDirect, a product of Matrix Analytics, is a proprietary software suite developed by an Interventional Pulmonologist frustrated with the disjointed care pulmonary nodule patients often receive. Electronic Medical Record systems are not equipped to manage nodule care coordination, so Dr. Alzubaidi and his staff were left to use Excel spreadsheets and other outdated mechanisms to manage nodule clinic patients.  After much frustration, he decided there had to be a better way. LungDirect offers an innovative way for providers to manage both lung cancer screening patients and other at-risk pulmonary nodule patients.
