Key Title Group Opens in Alamo Heights, Brings Respected Industry Professionals On Board

Key Title Group, a Central Texas-based provider of title insurance and escrow services, expanded their presence in San Antonio with the opening of its Alamo Heights office.

The Austin (Westlake) location, opened in early October of 2015, has seen great success due to strong leadership from President, Hil Stroup, who has been in the title industry for decades, and due to the wealth of experience of its other employees and executives. Key insists that the employees and executives at Key Title Group are what make the company top-notch.  

“Our goal has been to be very selective when hiring our leadership team,” recalls Sarah Blackburn, General Counsel for Key.  “For example, in our (Austin) Westlake office we have an incredible group of employees and executives that are well-known veterans of the title industry.  We are proud that they chose to come work for Key.”

Applying the same hiring mantra in the new San Antonio office, Debbie Yates, a widely respected industry professional with more than two decades of escrow experience, has been hired as Vice President and branch manager.  Yates began her career in San Antonio where she has served as a highly acclaimed escrow officer and branch manager for major title companies in the area, including First American, Fidelity subsidiaries, and Chicago Title in Alamo Heights.  

 “With the rapid growth of San Antonio, along with the excellent real estate market and the fact that we have strong ties with in the real estate industry here, we felt like the opportunity in San Antonio was too strong to resist. When Debbie agreed to join us, the decision was easy.  We knew that with her skills Key would be a success in San Antonio.”

Once it was decided that San Antonio would be the next location of choice for Key, opening the office in Alamo Heights was a no-brainer.  With Yate’s long history and contacts in the Alamo Heights market, as well as the similarities between the housing markets of the current Austin (Westlake) location and Alamo Heights, Blackburn explains that, “it seemed like a natural expansion for us.”

In addition to Yates, Chris Black, another well-respected industry leader, has been hired as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Key’s Alamo Heights location.
