Institute of Dance Artistry Announces “Forces”, a Joint Concert with Born into the Arts at Temple University Conwell Hall

The Institute of Dance Artistry (IDA) is pleased to announce “Forces”, an extraordinary dance concert collaboration with noted Lehigh Valley, PA dance company, Born into the Arts (B.I.A.). The concert will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 2 PM until 3 PM at Temple University’s Conwell Hall. Tickets are $15.

IDA, located in the Philadelphia suburbs, is a school of modern, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop dance. Devoted to the philosophy that dance is an art, not a competitive sport, IDA provides the ideal dance education for all its students. Students with professional aspirations can make a smooth transition into the college and professional dance worlds. Students who dance as a fun hobby can do so in a positive, supportive, non-competitive environment. The studio’s mission is to teach dance as an art form and to give back to the community through dance. IDA accomplishes that goal throughout the year with performances and fundraisers to support many charities. 

Students of IDA are given the tools to develop strong dance technique, artistic ability, self-confidence, and passion for the art of dance. The individual and unique talents and abilities of all are embraced and encouraged by the professional teaching artists on staff.

Hip-Hop based Born into the Arts Dance Studios, located in the Lehigh Valley, PA is a school of hip-hop, modern, contemporary, break dance, and jazz. Under the direction of founder, Dominick Boyd, B.I.A. has become a leading dance arts innovator and destination for dance students. They have taken part in many major dance events including World of Dance NJ, Battle For Your Life, and Prelude NYC. B.I.A. also participates in local competitions and Dance Events including That's Entertainment, Barabran, Groove, and DanceFest.

Over the years B.I.A. received many awards including the Choreography award, Entertainer of the year award, and BFYL National Champions. B.I.A believes that dance is a small part of the lesson. You become free by using the understanding of sound with the power of movement. They are the 1st Hip-Hop based Dance Studio in the Lehigh Valley PA. Even though they are trained in other technical art forms, Hip-Hop is B.I.A.’s foundation.
