Highly anticipated Chikichaw is FINALLY on iTunes and other venues!

Chikichaw is finally being released on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Apple Music, Deezer, Shazam, Media Net, Microsoft Groove, RDIO, Spotify, Tidal and Youtube!  Check out Chikichaw!  Proceeds from the sale of this piece will help fund the next new album and enhancing the website to help others share their Chikichaw experience.  Chikichaw was written and composed by Dennis Yen when he needed a Brazilian-Jazz sounding piece that had a very specific feeling, for a show.  The lyrics are gibberish and were originally used to be a placeholder for the melody.  Eventually, the placeholder lyrics just stuck, and the song was published as you hear it today. 

After a limited release to a small section of the public, the song began to get very popular for use as the ending title music of many independent films.  The whimsical and carefree nature of the song gives it its charm.  Gibberish or not, this song is a lot of fun to listen to and to sing along with.  Many individuals have made videos based on the song.  Perhaps after the website upgrade, some of those videos will be posted.  It is amazing how creative the fans of the song can be.

Chikichaw may also soon be asking other folks to contribute videos to show how THEY Chikichaw.  The young and elderly, alike, have Chikichawed.  Chikichawing has been witnessed at weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthday parties and other festive occasions.  Now, Chikichaw has been released so a larger audience can enjoy the smiles this song can bring to someone.  As a matter of fact, it’s difficult to say “Chikichaw” without smiling. 

Chikichaw is classified as jazz and world music.
