Full Court Press on ALS to host First Annual Fundraising Hope and Hoops Gala

Philadelphia, PA – 5 October, 2016 – Full Court Press on ALS will host an evening of basketball fun and elegance at its first annual Hope and Hoops Gala to raise awareness about ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive neurodegenerative disease, diagnosed in more than 5,600 individuals every year.

This year, the gala will take place at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology on Thursday, November 10, 2016. All event proceeds will go toward the Penn ALS Comprehensive Care Center.

The gala will be hosted by FOX News correspondent Jesse Watters of “Watters World,” as well as numerous NCAA Division I Men’s Head Basketball Coaches.,

The evening will include a silent auction featuring noteworthy items, including hard-to-find sports memorabilia provided by Steiner Sports, a Kimpton Hotels weekend vacation package, premium wine, and much more. Museum tours, dinner, and dancing will close out the evening.

Full Court Press on ALS was founded to raise awareness and help find a cure for this crippling disease, which remains underfunded and, to a large extent, little understood. Through educational seminars, fundraisers, and various collegiate basketball programs, Full Court Press on ALS will educate individuals and their families about ALS and will raise critical funds that will help support laboratory investigators and clinicians in their search for a cure.
