Efficient Care Coordination Software Platform NexusConnexions® Attains 2015 Edition Health IT Module ONC Certification

NexusConnexions, a care coordination software solution developed by Nexus Health Resources, has recently received the 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification. This certification was granted by the ICSA Labs Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) Certification Program on the basis of their rigorous and thorough testing against several ONC approved test procedures.

Nexus Health Resources is a trusted provider of coordinated, quality healthcare for patients transitioning from the hospital to home. Recently Nexus Health Resources was recognized with two awards from Partner Orange Regional Medical Center including the 2016 Quality Patient Safety Award and 2016 Overall Top Award for Special Achievement for Readmission Reduction- Direct Care Coordination.

Established by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, the ONC Health IT Certification is a voluntary program to certify health IT standards, implementation specifications and certification criteria. The program supports the availability of certified health IT under other federal, state and private programs.

The Health IT Certification Criteria 2015 Edition was created to ensure better interoperability for several clinical health information purposes. Utilizing new and enhanced certification criteria, standards, and implementation specifications, it also enables health information exchange. 

NexusConnexions has been utilized successfully by acute and post-acute providers to avoid unnecessary expenses and penalties by addressing the needs of the patients living outside direct medical care. An Accredited Test Lab (ATL), ICSA Labs granted the certification to NexusConnexions after stringent testing against the following ONC Approved “Privacy and Security” test procedures.
