Doran's Waste Traxx Software is Chosen as BEST in Baking

Doran Scales, Inc. will demonstrate its award-winning innovations at the upcoming 2016 International Baking Industry Expo (IBIE). Held October 8–11, 2016, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, IBIE is the largest and most comprehensive event for the food industry.

“The size and scope of IBIE will allow us to touch every segment of the food industry,” said Mark Podl, CEO of Doran Scales. “We will be able to interact with over 20,000 baking professionals and show them how our products can benefit their operations.”

One such product on display will be Doran Scales’ new Waste Traxx plant waste management software. At IBIE, the software will receive recognition as being a 2016 Becoming Environmentally Sustainable Together (B.E.S.T.) in Baking product. The B.E.S.T. in Baking Awards recognize companies that supply products and/or services to the baking industry that help to decrease landfill waste, foster energy and water conservation, and reduce environmental impacts.

“Waste Traxx is game-changing in that it makes baking operations more efficient and environmentally conscious, and we are honored that it has been recognized as B.E.S.T. in Baking,” said Podl. “Previously, operations knew the overall amount of waste that was being produced, but they didn’t know what was causing it, whether it was an employee error, machine malfunction, or something else. Waste Traxx replaces handwritten reports with computer-generated data that pinpoints the production line, equipment, or employee directly responsible for the waste. In addition to meeting their sustainability goals, these operations can now save time, money, and labor hours through the use of Waste Traxx.”

Doran Scales will be exhibiting at IBIE in booth 3417. Their booth display will showcase Waste Traxx in action as well as other equipment and software specifically designed to increase yield, reduce costs, and assist in food safety mandates.
