DC Fashion Week to Host Global Fashion Houses at 24th Annual Showcase

WASHINGTON, DC - 2/25/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- The 24th bi-annual DC Fashion kicked off last night with a sold out event featuring designer Corjor International. The nation capital’s staple series of fashion events bring together fashionistas from around the country and will be hosted each night beginning on Wednesday, February 24th through Sunday the 28th at distinguished locations throughout Washington DC. Local and international fashion designers will be showcasing their spring clothing and accessory lines throughout the event along with celebrity guest appearances during the shows and after parties. 

“This is our biggest show yet, featuring designers and fashion houses from around the globe and 140 models throughout the week,” comments Ean Williams, Executive Director of DC Fashion Week. “I am proud of how far DC Fashion Week has come since our first event. We have been very successful in branding Washington DC as a huge influencer in the fashion industry and we look forward to continuing that vision.”

The organization has secured major supporters including Aveda, Younique, Cravant, and Plato’s Closet to name a few. Evony Fashion is the official DCFW modeling school that directly supports their vision to promote DC fashion.

These glittering series of events at top-rated venues such as the Dirty Martini and Hilton Hotel are a recipe for good fun and networking. DC Fashion Week is a non-profit partnership of independent fashion designers, producers and models dedicated to increase the economic development of all things fashion in the DC/metropolitan area. Their goal is to enhance the visibility of the nation's capital as a center of international fashion.
