Blue 62 Entertainment Releases Two New Films at Downtown L.A. Film Festival

Los Angeles based production company, Blue 62 Entertainment in collaboration with Demetrius Navarro’s DStreet Films, is set to premiere two of it’s front runner films at the 8^th Annual Downtown L.A. Film Festival. Hosted at L.A. Live, the festival has screened more than 1,000 films and reflects Downtown L.A.’s vibrant, new urban neighborhoods and its burgeoning independent film community.

Beginning Friday, Sept. 23, “The Big Shot”, a film portraying two small-time producers who, threatened by their Executive Producer to make a successful movie, turn to the only solution they can possibly think of - kill one of the lead actors. Executive Producers for “The Big Shot” include Blue 62 Entertainment CEO and Owner, Stephen E. Jackson, and brother Mannie L. Jackson. This suspense film, mixing thrill and comedy, premiers at 9:30 pm with a cocktail reception from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Restless Studios, sponsored by Jim Beam.

Subsequently, “The Taker”, screening the following evening on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 9:30 pm, depicts the reality TV crew behind “Truth or Legend” who decide to spend night in a possessed prop house, where a former prop-master and serial killer performed his grisly murders. Stephen E. Jackson executively produced this horror flick, along with Todd Seligman, Marlon Gilbert and Rick R. Warren. A cocktail reception to ensue prior to the premiere from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Restless Studios, sponsored by Justin Timberlake’s very own premium tequila brand, Sauza 901.
