Bishop Rufus K. Turner I want to let you in on a well-kept secret! Over the last 21 years, Bishop Turner has been a constant visionary, role model, mentor and advisor to hundreds of individuals in San Joaquin County. With God’s strength and direction, Bishop Rufus and his wife Trena, have built Victory In Praise which has empowered, educated and equipped thousands of families. Victory In Praise has become a valuable component in meeting needs in the community through programs for youth and adults of all ages. Because of Bishop’s love for the arts, Victory In Praise has become an ideal place for families to enjoy quality plays, comedy shows and concerts.

Bishop Turner is proud to open the Community Development Center (CDC)/Project New Start. The CDC will be able to impact the community on a larger scale.

The new CDC/Project New Start is design to be a one-stop shop for all citizens living in San Joaquin County and surrounding cities. The center will host a culinary art school, youth recreation center, senior citizens services, fitness, finance, art, and back to employment classes, tutoring, dance and music lessons, counseling, and so much more. This endeavor will require support from the whole community. We are thankful for our partners who believe in the vision Bishop Turner has for this community. We are grateful that you are now seeing vision coming to fruition.

         On October 15, 2016 from 6pm-9pm, Victory In Praise will host a Legacy Dinner in honor of Bishop Rufus K. Turner
