Author Pens Unique Children’s E-book about a Fairy Bee

Local author/editor Erin Beth Liles releases Tinker Bee, an illustrated children’s e-book about a bee who wants to be a fairy. What child can’t relate to feeling different from her or his peers? With charming, colorful illustrations, this book will entertain children and adults alike.

Story Summary

Tinker Bee is not just a bee. She’s a fairy bee! Despite her love of all things fairy, her parents and fellow bees just want her to be a bee:

Her parents took her out and showed her how to gather pollen. But Tinker Bee put the pollen in the wrong place. “I’m not a gathering bee,” she said. “I’m a fairy bee!”

“Bees can’t be fairies,” her parents said, shaking their heads.

However, when the flower patch is in trouble, Tinker Bee wants to help. Of course, the other bees doubt a fairy bee will do any good. But in the end, it’s Tinker Bee who saves them all—just by being herself.

Erin Beth Liles writes children’s books and lives in Kyle, Texas, near Austin. She’s published short stories in a number of online children’s websites and released A Friend for Freckles two years ago with Guardian Angel Publishing.
