BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS - 07/17/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Global Sporting Safaris, Inc. (GSS) is pleased to announce that the American Diabetes Association’s Kiss a Pig Gala, held in Bentonville, AR, raised $17,200.00 through our African Hunt Club’s donation program.  This year’s annual fundraising event, the Kiss a Pig Gala, was held on March 12, 2016 to raise funds for research and support programs that assist both the patient and the families dealing with diabetes.  A group of dedicated supporters and advocates, along with event coordinators Malorie Marrs and Laura Siemens, put together an outstanding and very successful event.

Global Sporting Safaris’ Africa Hunt Club manager, Julie Sinon, donated two big game African hunting safaris to be used in the auction at the Kiss a Pig Gala.  One hunt was sold in the silent auction, bringing in $3,200.00, and the other trip was included in the live auction.  During the live auction, the excitement increased when two bidders reached $7,000 in a bidding war. At this point, an additional hunt was donated so that both bidders would receive a hunt for the same price! Global Sporting Safaris is proud to promote the American Diabetes Association in its mission to prevent and cure diabetes.

Global Sporting Safaris has donated over $5,136,000 in hunting trips* in recent years helping many not for profit charities raise valuable funds for their worthy causes. “We have put together a high quality hunting donation that allows Global Sporting Safaris (GSS) to give back to the ‘not for profit’ organizations that help to promote our industry and our passion,” says Rick Kennerknecht, CEO of Global Sporting Safaris.

Global Sporting Safaris (GSS) makes this donation available to 501c3, 501c4 or 501c6 organizations and there are a limited number of hunting trips available each year.  The outfitters in this fundraising program offer topnotch accommodations, excellent hunting areas, professional staff, exquisite local cuisine and trophy quality animals.  “I have personally visited and hunted with our African outfitter to assure quality and a positive experience for our clients” commented Mr. Kennerknecht.  Details can be found at www.gssafaris.com/fundraising

At the conclusion of the fundraising event, Julie Sinon will follow up with the auction winner(s).  She will work with each individual on the details of their trip to and ensure that everything goes smoothly both before and after the hunt
